The Manaslu trek is a restricted region. You need a special permit in addition to the regular trekking permit and a guide to do the trek. The three different permits you need are Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP), and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).
Remember, you cannot issue the special permit by yourself meaning only a licensed trekking agency can issue it due to its restricted status.
What is the best time for Manaslu Circuit Trek?
The Manaslu Circuit trek is possible throughout the year. However, the spring and autumn seasons are the best time to go for this trek.
If you choose to travel in Spring (March-May), blooming rhododendron flowers mesmerize and welcome you. The temperature is neither cold nor hot. The view of snow-capped mountains under the blue sky along with the vibrant colors of blooming flowers and nature is sure to keep your heart fluttering.
Autumn (Oct-Dec) is the best season for trekking in Nepal. The skies are crystal clear and the weather is pleasant.
